As members of TorqueAstra, we’ve been lucky and privileged to jump in and play with some really exciting, fun, interactive and experiential content that Vauxhall have created and produced around the launch of the all-new Astra.

One of the features that really caught our eye, at both the Astra Shopping centre tour and the driving days at Millbrook, has been the Astra Pod experience. Using the cinematic and film Premiere theme combined with the Hustle split screen style of the TV ads, the pod allows members of the Public to become an advertising star (alongside the car, obviously!) in an original and very UK-centric piece of Astra storytelling.

Photo’s and name’s are superimposed and spliced into the video footage at set interactive intervals (look carefully and you’ll spot them- Celeb magazine at the newsstand, the presenters announcement from the 24hour rolling news and the posters on the cinema promoting the premiere) to create a very unique and engaging bit of Astra content, with the individual as co-star! Immersive, quirky and fun, it even allows those who have created their own Astra TV ad to send it to their friends or upload it to their social network pages to be shared with their friends!
