I’m from Hawick in the Scottish Borders, went to school in Edinburgh and uni at St Andrews. I currently live in London. I run my own online travel company, www.frontdesk.co.uk, which is going strong after nine years, thanks to a combination of hard work, good people, and a bit of luck. My first car was an Alfa Romeo 33, which was red, but went streaky bacon pink after being mauled by the main dealer’s car wash. I’ve had lots of cars and motorbikes since then, mainly Italian, with a Mk2 Golf GTI in the mix. I play the bagpipes, and favourite possessions include my Lancia Delta Integrale, my iPod, and a VHS copy of The Jazz Singer starring Neil Diamond.
