Having now been to Millbrook

Having now been to Millbrook to see/drive the new generation of the Astra, i was pleasently pleased overall with its performance & its design.

Its the largest of them all with good safety features, the new rear beam system does as it says & in my honest opinion, it does handle corners well, far better than the rest of the marques. The cdti's have a great cruising gear, @ 100mph in top, (auto gearbox) the revs were sitting, just short of 2500rpm.

The head room in these, front or back are great, so anyone who is tall,(i'm 6ft 2) will fit in fine & the drivers cockpit allows for those of us with long legs too. The cockpit, lending itself to the same format as the insignia, is well set out, with all the controls within easy reach. The afl's also work well, having used these to full potential while driving at dusk through the hillside area. I am sure i can come back when i have let the days events sink in a bit more, so i will update this at a later date.

I am sure others, that may have  had the driving experience will, or may like to comment too?

After driving four different

After driving four different models around millbrook this weekend i have to say that the other car makers now have to setp up to the mark.

i thought the diesel models were out of this world and thats from a petrol head the range and pull of the power was outstanding plus the engine was so quite i that it had stoppted

the power range was mind blowing going around the bowl at millbrook this shows how far vauxhall have come with this car they now have to class leaders
