Green Machine?
The new Astra will be available with a choice of eight engines, ranging from 87PS to 180PS, all of which offer impressive fuel efficiency and an overall cut in emissions of 13.3% compared with the current Astra. There will also be an Ecoflex model released in the spring of next year, equipped with a 95PS 1.3 CDTi engine that will achieve 109g/km CO2 emissions whilst retaining driveability. So, in this modern age of green-consciousness, to what extent are a car's environmental credentials a consideration when you're browsing the motor market?

Environmental credentials
Environmental credentials will stop you getting bothered by greensters, but I think most people are more interested in saving their readies than saving the planet. An efficient car does both.
